The EXIN Data Centre Specialist certification shows that you know how a data centre works, including how power, cooling, and safety are managed. But which industries want this certification the most? Let me share what I have seen.
Banking is at the top. Banks and trading companies use data centres every day to keep money records and customer data safe. If their systems stop even for a few minutes, they lose money. So they like to hire people who have this certification. Companies that rent or run very big data centres also need many trained people. Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK have a lot of these jobs.
Government work comes next, because many countries want their data to stay inside the country. Australia and Saudi Arabia are good examples. Hospitals, energy companies, and phone and internet companies also want people with this certification, since their systems must work all day and night.
One thing to remember is that this certification alone is not enough. Employers also like to see real work experience. If you have both, you have a better chance of getting a data centre job.
